The duty of GP Tutors in the East of England is to promote and support Continuing Professional Development for GPs in the widest sense in their areas.
In particular, Kev Hopayian provides the following:

• Advice to the Ipswich Hospital PGMC on its Update programmes.
• Advice and provision of education for evidence-based health care
• Mentoring for newly qualified ("first five") GPs
• Liaison with the Suffolk GP Appraisal Team

The IHT Postgraduate Medical Centre provides two GP Update courses each year, usually in March and November. The November course is provided jointly with West Suffolk Hospital PGMC.
